Books are my friends and my teachers. I couldn't come up of
any controversial books that moved the whole world but
three influential books
in my world are as the following:
(Chinese: 最後14堂星期二的課)
Tuesdays
with Morrie is my first life-long educational book. It talks
about attitude of life, what is the meaning of life, how to
live life and how to make your life complete.
I
cry like a baby every time, especially when I read about Morrie's
death, I feel like I lost my best friend just like Mitch (another
main character in this book). Morrie taught me how to love and be
loved, taught me about what dignity is, even incurable illness
torturing him, he didn't bend or break down, just live his life and
cherish the time he had left. Live each day as if it is your last,
embracing death and you will learn how to live.
It
has changed, shaped my personalities. I used to think I wasn't belong
anywhere till I read the story about Morrie, I awakened from the grey
world. Learn to accept others walk into my heart, learn how to see
the bright side of the world, learn to be a better person.
(Chinese:
秘密)
The
Secret constructed my belief, I don't mean belief as a
religion aspect, just I started to believe in myself, I can do
anything I want, I can be anything that I want to be, I am the only
one can make my own wish come true.
'The
world will follow your thoughts and make your wish comes true' it
said, 'if you feel bad about what is going to happen, you are calling
the world to make a bad wish to become reality, but if you hope for
something good and the world will be the way you want.'
I
was uncertain about myself, I doubted myself and felt shamed about
myself. I questioned myself: how could you do this tiny thing wrong?
Then, I met The Secret. It told me that I should try
to affirm decision I make, even I will find them wrong ten years
later , leave my regrets for the one from ten years later.
(Thai: 100
ขั้นตอนสู่ความล้มเหล/Chinese:100個照著做一定會失敗的方法)
100 Steps to Failure teaches you how to be a loser. Bookstores and libraries full of books teach you to be successful, but you rarely see any book teach you about ways to failure and that's why Teepagorn wrote this book.
It
is comic book, presenting ideas in both illustrations and words like
the picture showed on the left-hand side. This is step 41 to failure,
it suggested "Before starting anything, first put yourself in a
failure mood and thoughts and you shall feel the world is tumbling
fall, you have nothing to do with the situation".
To
me, this book is a reminder keeps me on track, not to be stray,
reminding me to do better and I can do better than who I was.

I like the quote from Stephen King. Your choices are all emotional and mostly inspirational. The book about failure sounds funny.
ReplyDeleteMy coworker told me about "The Secret" book. I didn't think it was real! It must be a great read since I've heard about it more than once. I'm curious to found out. :P
ReplyDeleteI think it's normal to cry when you find that your favourite character is dead. I remember having my head bang on the pillow after reading Augustus Water's death in "The Fault in our Stars". :)
ReplyDeleteTuesdays with Morrie is the one title out of these that I vaguely recognize. Considering that you said it changed who you are as a person, it seems like it is quite a moving novel.
